Overall managerial responsibility for the effective delivery of multi-disciplinary services for children and their families from the Children Centre. This also involves ensuring that the day care services for children (0-5 years) and out of school provision for older children are inclusive and of a high quality and meets Ofsted Day Care Standards.
Joanne Smith - Centre Coordinator
My job is to manage the day to day running of the Children's Centre in addition to managing the team and providing supervision, guidance and support to staff to ensure the services provided at Stoneycroft are of the highest standard and meet the needs of the children and families from the Old Swan area and beyond whilst monitoring the impact services have on the lives of the families that attend the centre.
I work closely with a wide range of organisations including Health, Education, Social Care, Job Centre Plus and other voluntary organisations to offer individual packages of care to children and families.
I manage the centre budget in line with internal and external audit procedures and consult with the Children's Centre Advisory Board and service users in regards to the most productive way to spend the grant to enhance services at the centre whilst complying with the grant conditions.
I ensure the centre works within both local and national Government policy and guidelines, striving for outstanding services in early years and promoting the importance of the formative years.
I am committed to the development of the team at Stoneycroft as well as my own personal development. I have worked with children and families for more than 15yrs and hold a B.A Hons in Early Years Management and the Post Grad qualification NPQICL.
